Backchannel chat suggestion for Windows users October 31, 2005
If you’ll be using a Windows computer at DE, you might want to install a Bonjour/Rendezvous chat client.
“Bonjour” (which used to be called “Rendezvous”) lets your computer automatically discover other Bonjour users on a network with no configuration. This means you can join in the in-room chat without having to ask everyone for their AIM screennames.
If you have Trillian Pro 3 (the paid version), you’re probably already good to go. Otherwise, you’ll want to install two things:
- Bonjour for Windows (requires a restart)
- The “Miranda” Bounjour client for Windows (link to an .exe)
